Traditional Piecing by Sandy Bonsib

 

Sandy Bonsib is a teacher by profession and a quilter by passion. She will share this passion with the class participants and challenge your quilting palette with a
Dessert Potluck.

This fun class will emphasize her goal of her workshops for students to enjoy the process of making a quilt as much as they expect to enjoy the product. The student will select a quilt style based on her Dessert Potluck featured on Sandy’s website. The class will feature Sandy’s approach to traditional piecing basing your quilt selection on half square triangles & four patch techniques. You will select your quilt style from an array of "Dessert Potluck" choices with color and style inspiration..

Collage Landscapes

Class Description
Working on the wall, students design an original COLLAGE LANDSCAPE, inspired by a photograph, calendar or greeting card. Workshop includes; Joyce's original “snip and glue" raw-edge appliqué techniques using invisible monofilament thread. Students learn a myriad of innovative surface design techniques. Workshop includes; design, perspective, fabric selection, scale, value, realistic special effects and finishing techniques. Multiple demonstrations include machine embroidery, incorporating overlays of tulle and polyester organza, bonding, textile, dye pen, craft ink, painting and sponging. No stress class with lots of laughter! THIS IS A DESIGN ONLY WORKSHOP NO MACHINES REQUIRED. Joyce will demonstrate machine techniques. Good workable size 30” square or less.
