Invitational
The 2008 GHQF theme is "Fishing for A Cure" and
we are proud to host a quilt invitational by local artists. The twenty-six
quilts that were recieved will be displayed in various Gig Harbor locations
this summer. They will be featured as a complete exhibit at the Civic
Center, 3150 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, WA 98335 (253-851-8136) from
August 26 through October 2, 2008, with an artists' reception open to
the public at that location on September 9, from 6:00PM - 8:00 PM.
Each
quilt will be auctioned at the October 11, 2008 luncheon at Canterwood
Golf and Country Club, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting local
breast cancer charities.
We
always welcome volunteers and donations of money or goods and services
